Technologies

In the systems on our offer we use the OpenSource software. Most of our products were created in the course of dedicated implementation and the finishing touches put by the R&D division made them into systems which can be offered to many clients.
Receiving from us a product fulfilling specific functions, a client does not pay for the received software, but for a specific configuration and choice of the available OpenSource software, with appropriately adjusted aspects such as the capacity, security, and functionality.

The list below presents the OpenSource software used in our systems.

FreeBSD
is an efficient and safe UNIX class operating system distributed under the BSD license for the IA32 (also SMP multiprocessor) and DEC Alpha platforms. The system’s nucleus ensures full compatibility with Linux, SCO Unix, NetBSD and BSD/OS, what allows for problem-free activation of applications in other environments without slowing down their operations. The virtual memory subsystem is currently considered to be one of the best implementations. Also a TCP/IP stack (with the T/TCP extensions) is considered to be a model implementation, mainly due to the efficiency and code transparency. It is used by many world’s biggest companies, e.g. Yahoo!, Google.
OpenBSD
is another version of the BSD system. The authors’ efforts are mainly focused on the increasing of the source code security, standards, transferability, and integrated cryptography. It is considered to be the safest operating system currently available.
Linux
is an operating system compatible with the POSIX standard, with the SYSV and BSD extensions (which means that it looks like the Unix, but is not based on its code). The Linux itself is only a nucleus of the operating system, a part responsible for running hardware, file management, processes, etc. The combination of the nucleus with a set of software components and application programmes constitutes the entire operating system, i.e. the Linux distribution - RedHat, SuSe, Debain
Postfix - an MTA server
CourierIMAP - an IMAP/POP3 server
OpenLDAP - the catalogue service server
Apache
is an open HTTP server available for many operating systems (UNIX, GNU/Linux, BSD, Microsoft Windows among others). The Apache is the most widely used HTTP server in the Internet. In May, 2003 its participation among servers amounted to 62%. In a combination with the PHP script language interpreter and the MySQL database, the Apache is one of the most frequently environments to be found in companies which offer space on net servers.
Samba - file server software
PureFTP - an FTP server
Squirrel - E-mail access via WWW
MySQL - a database server
Snort - a break-in detection system
Squid - a proxy server
